William Bell's Wilbe Records is known for quality studio production and a distinctive patented sound. However, least known are the creative and technical forces behind the recorded output over the years.
Meet Reginald "Wizard" Jones....a multi-instrumentalist , writing partner to Mr. Bell and Wilbe Records' Chief Engineer. Born as Reginald Jones, he earned the nickname “Wizard” as a youngster, thanks to his skill at playing multiple instruments with his musician father in his hometown of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.
As a Wilbe mainstay, "Wizard" has co-written and produced releases for artists such as Southern Soul powerhouse vocalist Jeff Floyd, gifted vocalist and pianist Lola, the dynamic Total Package Band and countless other label acts.
As an in-demand keyboardist and music director, he has also toured with TLC, Toni Braxton, New Edition, Justin Bieber, Usher, Goodie Mob, Outkast and more!
In 2008, Jones recorded his own album on Wilbe Records entitled "Roze's Garden" dedicated to his Grandmother. The release has been described as a testimony of high caliber musicianship and represents several styles, genres and expressions including Contemporary Jazz, R&B and Spoken Word.
Ultimately "Roze's Garden" is an uplifting and thoughtful meditation on Life, Love and Lessons gained....well worth a listen!
